So, it is decided, then. The final Kaizer bash will go down at DNB Arena in Stavanger on September 14, 2013. But fear not, my ticketless friend, because we are not talking about just ONE farewell gig here, but several. This ship will go down slowly and thoroughly, during the course of several days!

- We made a bet with our manager, Eivind, about whether the first concert would be sold out before Geir woke up today. Eivind won. By the time Geir had gotten out of bed, sales for the THIRD farewell gig, Thursday that is, had already started. Incredible! says Janove Kaizer, who is – naturally – very excited about the response to the final performances of Kaizers Orchestra. Tickets are selling like hotcakes, and now tickets for the Thursday show have also been made available.

Everything must come to an end, even the Kaizer revival that has swept across the land over the last twelve years. The farewell gigs in September are the last chance to see this unlikely rock phenomenon live one last time, before the oil barrels fall silent – maybe not forever, but at least for a while.

- This might be our last show ever. But we might also return one day. The only thing we know for sure is that we’re taking a break for a few years, and that we’re concluding this Kaizer era on our home turf in Stavanger. It is going to be a worthy and massive celebration. This ship is going down in style!

- How do you feel about giving up what has been your life over these past twelve years? It must feel strange?

- I both dread and look forward to these final gigs with the boys. We’ve been through so much together and we’ve formed some unbreakable bonds. There’s going to be a lot of laughter and tears both on stage and among the audience during these shows. But it will be nice to celebrate an amazing band career together with our amazing fans. We’re really looking forward to that
